NIWA station information management system
NIWA station information management system (SIMS) is a Web based data management system to maintain descriptive information about environmental monitoring stations around New Zealand. The system lists Hydrometric, Climate, Water Quality, Coastal, and other stations.

| Governance (GO) | Medium | The contributing organisation (CRI) has ambiguous ownership or recognised stewardship of the data |
| Identifiers (ID) | Good | Both metadata and the data are described with a unique identifier |
| Terms of use (TU) | Poor | A data licence does not exist nor conditions of use explained |
| Last Updated (LU) | Poor | A last updated statement is unavailable |
