S-map Soil Depth
S-map Soil Depth is part of the S-map digital soil map for Aotearoa – New Zealand. Soil depth is defined according to a traditional agronomic concept of soil depth. In a practical sense, it can be thought of as the depth to a layer that makes augering or digging difficult. The S-map Soil Depth layer is a "dissolved" representation of the soil depth attribute for S-map soils previously available as a lookup table. This layer was update Dec 2022.
